You can use a variety of materials in Lightyear Frontier, but one that’s particularly useful is carrot oil, which can be used to upgrade your Mech’s tools. But first, you must travel and find wild alien plants to produce carrot oil. Check out the comprehensive guide to making carrot oil.
Where to Find Carrots
To find them, go southwest from the Meadows, where your farm is. Look for the Edge Cliffs place and restore. That’s where you may locate Carrots growing. They’re easy to spot because they have large orange leaf stalks sticking out of the ground.
As soon as you gather them, your farm will instantly unlock the Caroot crop and its seeds, letting you plant them as a crop.
How to Make Carrot Oil
Plant the Carrot Seeds in open crop plots on your farm using your mech’s Seed Shooter tool. Remember to water them; they will be ready to harvest in approximately 3 days when they turn orange.
Now Build an Oil Presser, that allows you to turn harvested plants into oil. You can unlock it early in the game by exploring the Meadows area. To build it, you need Stone x16 and Wood x12, which you may acquire with your Spike Saw device.
Select ‘Carrot Oil’ while working with the Oil Presser. Verify that the crops are in your inventory. You can queue for as many as 5 bottles at a time.
To speed up the method, you may sleep in your Homestead to advance to the day after today. When you return to the system, your Caroot Oil might be ready for pickup.
