Lightyear Frontier is set on an alien planet where you must adjust to living there. To survive, you may want to collect materials to unlock new gear and homes. Iron is one of the most essential materials which is used to craft many things in the game.
Iron is easy to find in Lightyear Frontier. It is similar to ordinary stone but contains small pieces of silver. You can gather it with the Spike Saw on your mech, just like you would with other metals in the game.
Where to Get Iron
Stepstone Peak, which is located in the southeast of the map, is the primary area for iron ore extraction.
Go to the Stepstone Peak. Find a Cave on the eastern side. Walk across as it’s too small for your mech. If it’s getting dark, bring your flashlight. Use your pickaxe to mine Iron Ore in the cave. Take it lower back to your Mech whilst you’re executed.
You can also locate iron ore in other places like Yellow Forest and Mountainside Coast. On the snowy mountain hillsides. There are iron deposits on the peninsula north of Tornado Rock Isle too.
How to Make Iron Bars
Make sure you have a furnace if you want to make Iron Bars in Lightyear Frontier. Make a Grinder first, then upgrade your Spike Saw to make a Furnace. You are now ready to make Iron Bars as you have the Furnace.
Turn on the Furnace and add the following materials to make one Iron Bar:
- Two Iron Ore
- One Coal
